This is a somewhat unintelligible sukta. The Indra of the burthen is according to Yaska (Nirukta, xiii. 3) the Sun Vrsakapi also seems sometimes to bear the same meaning; in the vocabularies the name is applied to Vishnu, Siva, and Agni, perhaps here Agni is intended as identified with Aditya. "
